Is PlayNova actually free?
Yes — every game in the library is free to play, no subscriptions, no premium tier, no "pay to unlock the rest." If that ever changes for a specific game, we'll say so on that game's page.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You can search, browse and play without signing up for anything. Some individual games may have their own optional accounts or progress-saving features — that's set by the game's own developer, not by us.
Do I need to download or install anything?
No. Everything on PlayNova runs directly in your browser. Click a game, wait a moment for it to load, and play.
Why does a game take a few seconds to load, or show its own loading screen?
Games on PlayNova are hosted and embedded from their original developers or publishers, not by us. That short loading screen belongs to the game itself, the same as it would if you visited the developer's own site.
Is PlayNova safe for kids?
We aim to keep the library family-friendly and avoid anything explicit, but the games themselves are built and hosted by many different third-party developers, so content and difficulty vary. We'd still recommend a parent or guardian takes a quick look at a game before handing it to a younger player.
Why do I see ads on the site?
Hosting, bandwidth and the time spent curating and maintaining the library all cost something. Ads — including ads served through Google AdSense — help cover that so the games themselves can stay free. A game won't load, or is broken — what do I do?
Tell us. Head to our contact page, name the game, and describe what happened. We can't fix bugs inside a third-party game, but we can pull a broken listing or flag it for a look.
Can I suggest a game to add to the site?
Sure — send us a message with the game name (and a link if you have one). We can't promise every suggestion makes it in, but we do read them.
Does PlayNova work on mobile?
Yes. The site and most games are built to work on phones and tablets as well as desktop. A handful of games may play better with a keyboard and mouse — that's a limitation of that specific game, not the site.
